Recently, WUQI officially joined the RISC-V Ecosystem & Industry of China Electronics Standardization Association (hereinafter referred to as RVEI). By leveraging the unique advantages of low-power analog communication technology in the RISC-V open-source architecture, collaborating with the RVEI to promote the construction of communication network infrastructure, and working together with industry leaders to build a domestic application ecosystem for RISC-V, we aim to promote the prosperity of the RISC-V industry ecosystem.

As an industry ecosystem alliance with a deep background and extensive industry appealing and influence. RVEI brings together more than 70 various renowned technology companies and scientific research institutions such as Shanghai HiSilicon, T-Head, China-Mobile, Institute of Software Chinese Academy of Sciences. The RVEI focuses on RISC-V industry development through standard R&D, conformity assessment, intellectual property protection, talent training, industrial research. It also collaborates with the international RISC-V community to guide the industry in achieving complementary advantages, resource sharing and collaboration to create a favorable industrial ecosystem and drive high-quality development of the industrial chain.

Currently, the RISC-V instruction set architecture has gained wildly application worldwide due to its unique open nature. With a growing attention and involvement from national chip industries towards the open-source RISC-V architecture, more and more companies and research institutions in the industry chain are starting to build consensus and promote its ecosystem. By gathering national industry application demands and resources, a key area needing breakthroughs is formed.

WUQI has been concentrating on open-source RISC-V technology route,  as early as 2017, WUQI took the lead to mass-produce the first domestic HPLC chip based on the RISC-V architecture. After years of development, WUQI has established its own design capability of short-range communication and edge computing SoC chips based on RISC-V architecture. It has four product areas including data transmission Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth audio, HPLC and edge computing, forming a complete series of chip products and flexible customization based on the RISC-V.

In collaboration with RVEI to promote industry development and rich scenario applications, especially in short-range communication and edge computing, WUQI has rich accumulation of technologies and industry applications, and can share technology outcomes with other industry colleagues in innovation, and relentlessly enhance the influence industry ecology based on RISC-V architecture.

The RVEI is a nationwide, industry-wide, non-profit social organization jointly initiated and established by China Electronics Standardization Association under the guidance of the MIIT of the Department of Information Technology Industry, and jointly led by Shanghai Hisilicon, T-Head, ESWIN, China Mobile, Beijing Institution of Open Source Chip, Institution of Software Chinese Academy of Sciences, CCID Research Institute, Institute of Electrics, China Electronics Standardization Institute, CEPREI and other enterprises and institutions. It is a branch of the China Electronics Standardization Association.

The work of the RISC-V working group involves various aspects such as the industry, standards, and ecosystem in this field. Firstly, it gathers representatives from domestic upstream and downstream industries to promote the sustainable and healthy development of the domestic industry. Secondly, it establishes and improves the domestic RISC-V standards and testing system to continuously enhance the international influence of China's RISC-V standards. Thirdly, it builds a domestic application ecosystem for RISC-V to promote the widespread application of RISC-V standards in domestic enterprises.
